A General Meeting of the Australian Marketing Institute Limited was held on 28 February 2014 in Sydney.
The meeting unamiously approved the motion to adopt a new constitution which will provides for
>> The AMI to be led by a democratically member-elected Six Board of Directors, who will set the strategic business plan of the AMI for implementation by management and Board appointed project committees. The Board of Directors will continue to have the option of appointing up to four additional directors.
>> Roles and responsibilities performed by State Councils will be reallocated to management and expert state advisory committees.
The new model will be effective at the conclusion of this year’s Annual General Meeting. Prior to the Annual General Meeting a new Board Charter will also be developed and be made available to members. Appreciation is extended to the Board Charter Working Party (including representatives of state councils) which is assisting with the development of the Board Charter.
